Grand Tour 19th century bronze statue Discobolus Discus Thrower after Myron the Antique

Grand Tour bronze Discobolus statue

€ 575

Second half XIX century Italy

A very refined and high quality bronze cast antique so called Grand Tour version of the Discobolus: the Discuss Thrower, after Myron (Greece 480-440 b.c.).

Beatiful details, the hair and the finger nails, facial details remind of the great sculptor and bronze artist Benedetto Boschetti's bronze Discus Hurler. But unsigned.
A very fine example with a green tone patine and standing on a marble base.

The pictures have been made in a studio and in daylight for the best overall image.

In good condition, no visible issues.
