Antique ca 1900 Burmese silver repousse bowl with 8 different characters in various poses, by a peacock maker. The peacock mark was only allowed to be used by a maker that had (past) royal patronage. The peacock seal was solely reserved for the ornamentation and apparel of the Burmese royalty. Very high quality silver and intricate workmanship among other things were required to become a peacock maker. Dim: 21 x 16,7 x 12,5 cm Weight: 981 gr
